Theres this great drawing by Michael Leunig of a guy flying a plane with a grim expression on his face, the plane is falling apart, its missing half a wing and there's a hole in the cockpit, black smoke trailing behind, and the plane is trailing a banner that reads "WHO CARES?"
That guy is a genius. I want to make art because of art like that. There is a lot of really great art out there that I just don't give a shit about. But there are those rare bits that speak to me, even blow me away, and that's what keeps me going.
